Miles Nazaire’s Explanation: “I Wanted Rocky to Have the Best Life”

In his Instagram message, Miles shared the difficulties he encountered trying to manage his career alongside being a pet owner.

“With TV and creating content, my life is pretty chaotic most days, and Rocky definitely felt that. He could tell when I was having a rough day, and it wasn’t good for him… I realized I might not be able to handle it anymore, and it just wasn’t fair to him.”

He mentioned that he often had to leave Rocky in daycare or dog hotels because of his travel commitments, which contributed to his decision to find Rocky a new home while he was in Portugal:

“I broke down when I realized… I can’t give him what he needs. He deserves the best life possible.”

Fan Reactions: Criticism and Support

His announcement drew strong reactions from fans:

Criticism:

“How heartbreaking for Rocky. The amount of ‘I’ in this video compared to ‘Rocky’ or ‘we’ speaks volumes.”

“Honestly, it seems like you treat your dog the same way you treat women—once the thrill is gone, you’re out.”

Support:

“I’m really sorry, Miles. That’s a tough decision, and it shows you’re putting Rocky’s needs first.”

“You both saved each other, and now you’ve made the best choice for his future.”

The Bigger Issue: Pet Ownership and Celebrity Responsibility

Miles’ case has sparked a wider conversation about celebrities adopting pets without fully considering the long-term commitment involved. While some fans argue rehoming can be a responsible decision when prioritizing the pet’s welfare, others insist that adopting a dog should be a lifelong obligation, not just a temporary accessory.

Rocky’s New Life: A Positive Outcome?

Miles confirmed that Rocky is now with a new family, although he didn’t provide more details. Platinum K9, a dog training company Miles previously collaborated with, has commended Rocky’s progress in training, implying that he was well cared for during his time with Miles.
