The Breaking Point

Tommy Fury faced a devastating moment when he was too drunk to remember Molly-Mae leaving. Their daughter Bambi was also taken. He confessed this in his BBC docu-series.

“I’ve never even said this before, but when they’d actually left the house, I was drunk at that point, so I don’t remember it that well, which was even more upsetting,”

he said. Waking up alone terrified him. The silence consumed him for an hour. That day was their last time together at home.

“I woke up. I was like shit, and I was listening to probably the silence of the house for like an hour. I was like, f*. And that was the last time they’ve been here.”

Despite his alcohol issues, he focused on his child. He kept Bambi’s morning routine consistently. Making her breakfast was essential. He thought that fulfilling his fatherly duties could help stabilize everything.

A Downward Spiral

His drinking was excessive. He had 20 shots every night. Sometimes he added 20 beers. His goal was to get blackout drunk. This happened almost every day. It made him an unreliable partner.

A hand injury started his crisis. Surgery in January 2024 left him unable to box. He felt he lost his identity and purpose. Boxing had defined him since childhood. Suddenly, he found himself without direction.

“I had lost my entire identity, lost my life.”

Drinking temporarily masked his pain. It mimicked the excitement of boxing crowds. But alcohol cost him his family. He described 2024 as his worst year ever. His dad, John Fury, urged Molly-Mae to leave. John had witnessed similar patterns with Tyson.

Rebuilding and Reconciliation

The couple rekindled their romance recently. They are happiest together now. Privacy has become their new focus. They plan to keep their relationship out of the public eye. Tommy feels grateful for the lessons he has learned.

Molly-Mae believes their love is worth saving. Her documentary, Behind It All, also addressed these issues. Tommy’s docu-series aims to showcase his growth. He wants to be a reliable partner and dad.

“I’m not happy that I went through that, but I’m grateful for the lessons that I’ve learned.”

His boxing career is restarting. Training again gives him purpose. He returned to the ring in May 2025. Tommy defeated Kenan Hanjalic in Budapest. He also hopes for a rematch with Jake Paul.
